Houck was formerly the O-line coach for the San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams. Prior to that he coached for the USC Trojans and Stanford. Before that he coached high school football in La Crescenta, CA.

Houck graduated from the University of Southern California and played center on the college football team.
